Like other fruits, strawberries are high in the antioxidant anthocyanin. It is a powerful antioxidant that increases as the strawberry becomes ripe.

Buy them at the ripe at farmers market and freeze the ones you can’t eat in a day or two, for the weeks use. You can make a morning strawberry smoothie with them by combining them with a banana, apple juice, a little powdered vitamin C, flaxseed, wheat germ and other boosters that you like. You can drink this strawberry smoothie all morning long by using a thermos and taking it to work. Eat your strawberries from 8 am to lunch and use them as snacks between meals. Avoid eating strawberries after a meal as desert, if you want your stomach to digest them properly.
