How To Choose A Mineral Supplement

So, I have told you about fluoride and chlorine, the two minerals that you need to watch and not allow dentists and product makers to fool you into thinking that these chemicals do not harm you in low concentrations. They do, but you won’t know it for a long time.

Now, before I discuss more individual minerals, I want you to know about how to choose a mineral supplement. But before I do, just know that you need to supplement your diet everyday with minerals. There is no way around this since most of you don’t eat

enough fruits and vegetables every day – 10-15 servings. And even if you did, the quantity of nutrients in these fruits and vegetables is still not enough for what you need even if they are organic.

Just eating sugar, junk food, and having stress uses up a large portion of the minerals you eat every day. So, what is left to make your body healthy and strong? Not much since you can see the results in all of the sickness around you.

There are different types of mineral forms. There are colloidal minerals, crystalloid minerals, minerals in powders, minerals attached to amino acids.

Colloidal Minerals

Colloidal minerals can be used if you are normal and do not have a mineral deficiency. But most people don’t fall in this category. The result is that colloidal minerals are difficult for the body to absorb and have a low bioavailability. In addition, colloidal minerals come from clays and from lakebed materials and are not electrically activated as is required by the body for proper absorption.

Crystalloid Minerals

Crystalloid minerals are electrolytes that are electrically charged. These minerals will by pass your digestive system and are directly absorbed into your body. They will become immediately available in your body to keep your body liquid, lymph liquid, electrically charge so that your body can maintain electrical balance. One such crystalloid product is called Trace-Lyte’s Crystalloid Minerals.

To charge your bottled water with minerals put 3 tablespoons of Trace-Lyte into one gallon of water.

Now, it is not enough to just use Trace-Lyte minerals since you still need more minerals to do other work other than keeping your body electrically charged. You need minerals for digestion, for enzyme activity, for neutralizing acids, for helping to digest protein, and for many other body chemical reactions.

Minerals In Powders

One addition source of minerals that I use is called Ruby Reds. It comes in powder and I use it each morning in a fruit smoothie to supply me with the minerals I need. I like this product because it contains the spectrum of minerals, phytonutrients, bioflavonoids, digestive enzymes, and vitamins that come from 20 to 30 different fruits. Vitamins are essential because minerals are better absorbed when certain vitamins are around.

Minerals Attached to Amino Acids

Now if you want to use specific minerals like calcium, magnesium, manganese and so on, you want to use the ones that are tied to amino acids. These types of minerals are called chelated minerals. The mineral and amino acid are tied together in a strong bond and are able to pass through your stomach acid without being separated.

Then in the small intestine this combination can pass by the intestine villi and move into your blood stream. Chelated mineral can have as high as 80% absorption where as non-chelated minerals will only have up to 6% absorption.

There you have it. Avoid colloidal minerals. Use Trace-Lyte to get mineral electrolytes into your body to electrify it. Use Ruby Red powder to get the entire minerals, vitamins and nutrients your body needs and when you use individual minerals make sure they are chelated.
