Try Some Zinc!
There are other eczema remedies that can also be tried. One of these is to increase intake of the mineral zinc. It is found that including zinc in the diet has reduced eczema symptoms and breakouts. While including any kind of supplement of this sort in the diet, however, it is important to remember that zinc must not be consumed in doses higher than thirty milligrams a day. Large quantities of zinc in the body could result in a deficiency of
copper which would have other implications for one’s health.
Certain herbs have also been found to be extremely effective as eczema remedies. They can cleanse and detoxify the skin. Nettle, burdock, yellow dock red clover and cleavers are the herbs used to alleviate symptoms, as they are useful in reducing rashes by cleansing the skin of toxins that aggravate eczema.
The other eczema remedy that may surprise the reader is tea! In fact this tea may be combined with some of the herbs that are used to cure eczema, such as burdock, red clover and yellow dock, and can make a delicious brew. A teaspoonful of a mix of equal parts of these herbs, drunk after they are allowed to steep in hot water for a couple of minutes, has been found to be very helpful as an eczema remedy.
Dermatitic Tea, as it is called, is another remedy that can be tried at home. Prepare a mixture of a half teaspoonful of licorice root, pau d’arco bark, sarsaparilla root, burdock root, and bupleurum if it is available to you. This mixture needs to be simmered with three cups of water for about 10 minutes. Strain the mixture after this, so the goodness of the ingredients has infused the water. What you have is a very effective eczema remedy. For best results, it is advised to have this drink three to four times a day.
As pointed out above, natural eczema remedies are as many as they are easy to make and take. As an option, they are cost-effective as well. However, before attempting them, it is always best to check with a qualified doctor.
